The mission of military brat and author Michelle Ferguson-Cohen is to remind children coping with deployment that they are not alone. In fact, they are part of a proud community and many other children share their experience. Many wonderful organizations have donated the "You're My Hero!" titles to children to remind them we care!
101st Calvary Veterans Association Donated books to children of deployed 101 Calvary Unit.
Target Employees Malissa Borden and her co-workers presented donated books to children from Offut AFB.
Santa Brings a Present! Children whose parents are deployed with the Illinois and Iowa National Guard remember their parents during the holidays with a present of "You're My Hero!" books!

Books for Brats & Family Readiness Groups.
Books for Brats provides special discounts to FRGs and other military groups. E-mail us to place your discount order payable by check or credit card. We also work with FRGs in their fundraising efforts to pay for orders. Amongst others donations have been made to:

Eglin AFB Library.
We have done a series of appearances and readings at the Eglin AFB Library during the last year. Librarian Dorothee has developed excellent programming to help encourage community and pride amongst brats and help parents understand the special needs of their brats children. We presented the winners of an Art Competition to express the brat experience in April. The winning artwork is to the left. Upcoming appearances inlcude:
